Adrianne Cury first fell in love with GB Shaw in college, and her first professional opportunity was Judith in THE DEVIL’S DISCIPLE at The Apple Tree theatre, a role she reprised 18 years later for ShawChicago! Then she played Z & The Strange Lady in VILLAGE WOOING & MAN OF DESTINY for Writers Theatre(Jeff Award Nomination), where she met Bob Scogin. Thus began her long association with ShawChicago: ANDROCLES & THE LION, HEARTBREAK HOUSE, BACK TO METHUSELAH, MAN & SUPERMAN, DON JUAN IN HELL, GENEVA, IN GOOD KING CHARLES…, GHOSTS, etc. Cury also has two After Dark Awards, & a Jeff Citation. She's worked locally for Chicago Shakes, Chicago Shakespeare Project, About Face, National Jewish, Famous Door, Touchstone, Drury Lane, and regionally with Indiana Rep, Human Race, New American, Artists Ensemble, BoarsHead, and most recently Cardinal Stage. She enjoys directing, teaching & coaching, & is insanely enthusiastic to begin this...MISALLIANCE!
