Alison Henderson

Alison Henderson is a Rudolf Laban movement specialist and freelance director. In Chicago, Alison has been the artistic director of Reckless Theater and co-artistic director of New World Repertory Theatre. When living in South Carolina, Alison was the Artistic Director of the Upstate Shakespeare Theatre. She has also worked in development for Plasticene and Lookingglass Theatre. Alison has always preferred delving into masterful language pieces over more contemporary plays. Some of her favorite directing projects have included The House of Bernarda Alba, The Glass Menagerie, and An Inspector Calls. During the day, you will find Alison consulting as a body language expert for Moving Image Consulting and teaching at the College of DuPage. Alison looks forward to supporting Misalliance Theatre and its mission to make us all listen a little better!
